Progress Reports, PTA & Redistribution Policy


Progress reports are sent home three times during the school year shortly after each 12 week periodMid twelve week reports are sent every six weeks.


Osuna has an active Parent Teacher Association.  The yearly membership fee is $6.00 and you are encouraged to join and become involved in this worthwhile organization.  The PTA sponsors a Jog-A-Thon fundraiser event in the fall to raise money for events throughout the year.  Funds generated from this event help support various programs and services for students such as:  Battle of the Books, Reflections, Science Fair, Tiger Tales (monthly school newsletter), the Osuna Student Directory, community and family events, and buses for field trips.  The PTA also coordinates room parents for each class and volunteers for school events.  PTA provides teacher stipends each semester for teachers to purchase supplies for their classrooms.  There are ways in which you are able to support these programs without raising or pledging any money.  General Mills sponsors a Box Tops for Education program; box tops from participating products can be sent in with your child throughout the year.  Additionally, please consider signing up with our grocery store retail partners, Smith’s and Albertson’s, who designate a percentage of your purchases to donate to our school. 


Volunteers – Parents and children will be given the opportunity to volunteer to move to the new classroom. Using the placement method, the rest of the class will be formed. Heterogeneous groups will be created. If at or before the 20th day we are required to lose a teacher the students in the classroom that will lose the teacher will be equitably distributed among the other teachers at that grade level or a combination class will be created. This is always an extremely stressful and emotional time for all. It is the goal of the school that the Redistribution Policy will not have to be used. Unfortunately, there are times when enrollment is unpredictable.
